Recovery From Mental Illness:

Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety, Alcoholism, Narcotism etc.

When I was recovering I had many questions but no one could give me any answers so I had to really struggle and find the answers myself by trial and error, the questions and answers section has been included to help people with any problems that they may have and make recovery easier and quicker.

The country of origin, religion, sex and age of each entry is also searchable.

Critical voices

SAMPLE QUESTION

Question Critical voices are saying that I am receiving telepathic disturbances and are causing me pain and are keeping me up, what can I do to escape them.

Answer Generally critical voices only cover a very local area around one to two kilometres, unless there is something particularly wrong with you, in which case they may go up to 10 to 100 kilometres.  The first thing you could try is to ask them why they are causing you pain and keeping you up and if there is anything you could correct or do that would make them stop.  If they can not come up with anything reasonable, once you have sufficiently recovered, try to organise getting within 20 meters of them through open air (as per The Recovery Download). If you have no luck, it may pay to move a few kilometres away and see how that goes, otherwise try 20 to 100 kilometres away, If that fails, moving interstate over 1000km will 99.9999% solve the problem.  I would also try to move into a nice or quiet area and if possible avoid places like guest houses, bad areas, drug rehabilitation services, mental health services, or where they hold AA or any other 12 step meetings etc.

Question I stole things from work in the past and critical voices are giving me a hard time over it, if I admit that I stole things I will probably lose my job and could be charged by the police etc.  I don’t want to lose my job and wind up in jail but it is becoming a real problem.

Answer    Firstly you could ask critical voices if you could just put it into the past (because you were suffering from mental illness at the time), if that fails, you could ask them if you could pay it back anonymously by mail, and if you can’t afford it straight away, as soon as you can afford do do so; and as long as you are serious, they will likely leave you alone and you can pay it back.  If they persist and it is too much of a problem, it may pay to look for another job and avoid winding up in jail.  If you can’t find another job and it is too much of a problem, you will probably have to choose between risking your job and going to jail, or resigning and at least getting away from the problem.
